Home Help

Home help services support you with day-today tasks around the house.

About Home Help Services

Home help services provide a helping hand with everyday tasks, errands, and household chores.

This supports your independence, ensures your house is clean and tidy, and reduces the risk of accidents or falls at home. Home help works around your schedule, whether you need support every day or just a few hours per week.

Whether you are on an approved Government Home Care Package or want to pay privately for your care, we can work together to create a plan that suits you.

Smiling older woman sitting comfortably in a cozy living room

We engaged Dovida a couple of years ago to assist my parents – in particular mum whose mobility was in decline – with everyday tasks around the home. Dovida have been fantastic at every turn – carers are well matched and very caring – we couldn’t do without their services.

How Home Help Works

Caregivers will come to your home on a schedule that works for you, and they can assist with any household tasks you need help with. They can come as often or as little as you like and provide companionship and conversation while they’re there.

Why Choose Home Care

Staying at home where you feel comfortable, familiar, and empowered to live independently may be the best option for older people or people living with a disability who need additional care.

What is home help?

Home help services refers to the non-medical side of caregiving, such as household chores, cooking and cleaning, companionship and supporting with errands such as shopping or collecting prescriptions.

What is available within home help for the elderly?

Home help includes tasks around the house, including meal preparation, light housekeeping such as cleaning, laundry, vacuuming and tidying, and running errands,

What are the differences between home help and live-in care?

Live-in care means your caregiver moves into your home and lives there permanently as they take care of you. Live-in care usually also involves a higher level of care, whereas home help supports you with lighter tasks around the house and it’s usually just for a set number of hours per day or per week.
