24 Hour Care at Home
24 hour home care gives you the assistance you need, around the clock, in your own home.
About 24 Hour Care at Home
24 hour home care goes beyond doing chores around the house and keeping you comfortable – it provides you with safety, companionship, and peace of mind knowing that an experienced caregiver is nearby if you need them.
24 hour care is provided in your own home, meaning any assistance you need is right there with you. You’ll be personally matched with specific caregivers, so you’ll see the same friendly faces day-in, day-out.
Your care can be funded privately, or you might be able to receive government funding to help with the costs – we’re here to support you, whatever the situation.

How 24 Hour Care Works
You will be matched to a dedicated team of caregivers who will come to you, in your own home, 24 hours a day. The same team of care workers will be rostered on shifts, meaning your caregivers are well-rested when they arrive at your door, and you can expect to see the same familiar faces daily.

Why Choose Home Care
Staying at home where you feel comfortable, familiar, and empowered to live independently may be the best option for older people or people living with a disability who need additional care.

How do I get started with 24 hour care at home?
The first step in getting 24 hour care is speaking to your local Dovida team. We will create a bespoke plan based on your individual needs and, once you’re ready to get started, we will carefully match you to a team of caregivers.
What’s the difference between 24 hour home care vs live-in care?
24-hour care means that caregivers will come to your house to take care of you in shifts. There are usually 3 shifts per day of 8 hours each, and your caregivers will go home in-between. Live-in care is different because your caregiver will move into a spare room in your house. They live with you and are on-call to give care whenever you need it.
What support can 24 hour home care provide?
Your care plan is personalised to your needs, but often includes:
– Help around the house with daily tasks and chores
– Assistance with personal care
– Medication reminders and support
– Companionship for shopping, socialising or outings
