WA’s Finest Honoured at Heart of Dovida Awards

Dovida staff from across the West Australia network gathered on Friday for an intimate celebration of those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to clients, families, and the communities they serve.

Caregiver of the Year: Debbie Cooney

Debbie was recognised for consistently representing what true care and compassion look like since joining Dovida in 2021. Her unwavering dedication, adaptability, and warmth have remained constant through the many changes across aged care. Debbie has been a pillar of strength for families navigating difficult journeys, and remains a shining example for caregivers across the Dovida network.

Key Player of the Year: Kathryn Ewen 

Kathryn was honoured for her remarkable professional growth and exceptional contribution to building Dovida’s presence in the community. Transforming into a highly effective ambassador for Dovida values and services, Kathryn lives and breathes our values in every interaction. She has become a skilled communicator who connects with diverse audiences. Her commitment to continuous learning, combined with her positive energy and ability to bring joy to the team, has made her an invaluable resource for both clients and colleagues.

Leader of the Year: Nadia Taylor

Nadia was celebrated for leading by example and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and trust. She values and acknowledges people’s efforts whilst staying completely customer-focused, constantly thinking of engaging ways to improve whilst bringing the team along on the journey. Her strategic thinking, passion for the business, and ability to inspire growth in both individuals and the organisation have had a profound impact on team culture and performance.

Quality Award: Perth North East

Perth Northeast was recognised for demonstrating an unwavering commitment to striving for excellence, reflected in an impressive ISO 9001:2015 compliance result. This outstanding outcome highlights the strength of leadership combined with the dedication of all staff embedding quality into everyday practice. 

CEO Geoff Hogg emphasised during closing remarks the impact the WA Dovida family has in the community.
