Dean Redman Named Queensland Caregiver of the Year

Dean Redman from our Brisbane North & Caboolture office has been awarded Queensland Caregiver of the Year at the prestigious Heart of Dovida Awards, recognising his outstanding commitment to client care and embodiment of our core values.

With over 5,200 hours of service across six years with Dovida, Dean exemplifies every quality we seek in an exceptional caregiver: reliability, empathy, initiative, and unwavering dedication to client wellbeing. His commitment extends far beyond formal care duties, including waiting for hours during clients’ hospital treatments and providing ongoing emotional support through challenging family situations.

Dean’s approach to caregiving is deeply personal, with families consistently highlighting how his companionship and gentle humour help restore dignity and self-worth to clients struggling with health challenges. His calm demeanour and practical leadership serve as a guide for newer caregivers, reinforcing a team culture centred on client dignity, respect, and compassion.
